Coming Soon: Lived Experience Advisory Panel (LEAP) Application for the ARDT Project

The Lived Experience Advisory Panel (LEAP) application for the ARDT is coming soon. This panel will guide and shape the work of the LifeArc Centre for Acceleration of Rare Disease Trials, co-creating processes and tools to make research participation easier and fairer, developing better pathways for bringing effective therapies to those in need, and advocating for more equitable opportunities for patients across all four nations of the UK, by changing policy—and more!

The LEAP application will provide an opportunity for individuals to join the panel and play an integral role in shaping the future of rare disease research, clinical trials, and patient engagement. We welcome applications from people living with a rare condition, their parents or carers, and representatives of advocacy organisations.

As part of LEAP, selected panel members will:

  • Influence Research Decisions: Help shape the direction of rare disease trials and research strategies.

  • Collaborate with Experts: Work alongside researchers and clinicians to ensure that patient perspectives are central to every decision.

  • Ensure Patient-Centered Outcomes: Contribute to the development of trial protocols and patient-focused outcomes that reflect the needs of the rare disease community.

We will be sharing more details soon about how you can apply to join the LEAP and make a meaningful impact in rare disease research.

Stay tuned for updates and be the first to know when the application process opens!
